Can SSRI effect how food tastes?

by duckandcover, Jul 12, 2008 10:06AM
Since I started my Zoloft it seems that food (but especially liquids) have a slightly metallic taste.  Is this just me?  I haven't seen it as a side effect anywhere.

It did the same thing with me.  I wasn't on zoloft but I was on Buspar and the taste was awful.  It never went away with me until I quit the medication.  Then it was about 3 weeks later when it went away completely.

Ughh...  that stinks but at least it will keep me on my diet I suppose.  My apetite disappeared when I started the Zoloft.
