Can anxiety cause a intermittent low grade fever?

Yet another anxiety question - for the last month, I have noticed that I develop a low grade fever in the late afternoon or early evenings. I can feel it happening - I feel slightly feverish, and sure enough I'm running a fever of say 99.2 or so. Very low grade. Is this something that anxiety can cause? Or am I just being sensitive and obsessive over this (my says the latter)?

Anxiety can cause a lot of things as it can interfer with body functioning.
If this is something new happening you may wish to visit your doctor as the fever may be a sign of something else.  I would first expect it's not anxiety and look to something else as the cause since fever is usually a sign of infection.
Get well!
