Can anyone recommend books about anxiety?

by jackie1234, Jul 16, 2007 08:10AM
Has anyone found any helpful books about anxiety?  I have one by David Carbonell on beating the Panic Trick (it's a workbook) that's been pretty good, but I'm looking for possible other interesting or helpful reads.  Thanks!

I have that book as well. I just got it this weekend. Does it help?

All books by Dr. Claire Weeks have helped me overcome 95% of my panic attacks from which I had suffered for 15 yrs.  No therapist and no meds could do.

The David Carbonell book was helpful....I'm almost finished with it.  It's the first thing I've read on anxiety and it did make me feel better b/c it made me realize I'm not alone, and the crazy symptoms (physically and mentally) I was having are normal.

I like a book, and i don't know the author (sorry!)  called "The Feeling Good Handbook"
it really makes you feel good- and has a lot of what you are going through w/anxiety and panic and puts it into perspective- i read it years ago - it is worth checking it out of the library-
take care- hope it helps!!

Anxiety Disease by David Sheehan is the best I have found so far.

First one I found to accurately describe the symptoms.
