Can it be?

First off, I am a gay male...and last had sex about 2 weeks ago. In about the last week to week and a half I have noticed alot of itching in my scrotum and anal regions. I believe it to be jock itch but here is my real problem. Today, I sort of stretched my anus out in the mirror and near the hole, there is a purple lump. It does not hurt at all, and there is no bleeding out of it. It only itches around it...

FYI: I was the receiver in the sexual intercourse. Does this sound like simple hemorrhoids or something more serious? It doesn't hurt at all

I wasn't saying that hemorrhoids are an STD...Someone said that I shouldn't be worried about hemorrhoids because I used a condom and I was telling them that hemorrhoids may still happen even with the use of a condom. That's all...anyone else have any info regarding the pic on what it could be??

Your write:

"Well you can still get hemorrhoids even with the use of a condom...correct?"

You CANNOT contract hemmorrhoids from sexual encounters!

If you have hemmorrhoids and have anal sex, you can certainly irritate them, even cause them to bleed, but they are not an STD.
And they CAN itch like crazy.
I say stop freaking out and just go to your doctor. He/she will be able to tell you if it's a hemmorrhoid in 20 seconds.
Peace

There isn't a whole lot I see in that link.  Really, the best thing to do if you're concerned is make a visit to your doc and have it checked out.  My guess is it isn't anything worrisome...either a hemmorrhoid, or possibly some kind of pustule.  I congratulate you for practicing safe sex 100% of the time.  That's very important.

Best of luck!!

Yeah I'm not too worried. Do you have any links to pictures of them? I can't seem to find any good ones...I would like to know for sure if this is what it is. U cannot see it from looking at my "butthole"...only when I stretch it...it is about the same height of the rest of the skin, a little darker...and a big more firm. no pain of any sort. It may just be the normal look of a stretched anus..not sure

You can get piles from almost anything, straining too hard on the toilet, picking something very heavy up, it is basically a vein that has popped out either into the colon wall or out through the anus.  They are not dangerous, however if it starts to bleed or hurt you can buy pile cream which will shrink it and stop the discomfort.  If they do pop out of the anus you can simply push them back in.

Although even with a condom i wouldn't have recived intercourse until they have settled down as you may aggrevate them and cause further swelling and discomfort.

Any chemist will have the cream.

Yeah this sounds like good old fashoined piles, but can i ask did ur sexual partner use a condom?  I really do hope you kept urself safe, although by the sound of this message u didn't, otherwise you wouldn;t be so freaked out.  To save urself this anguish each and everytime you have recieved intercourse please make sure you have condoms at the ready.  Don't enganger your life with all of the STD's out there.  I personally would go along to ur local sexual health clinic and have a series of tests done to rule out any STD's just to put ur mind at rest.  It could also be that the itching may be thrush.... in woman it causes a thick discharge but in guys it may just be a little clear or cloudy type discharge at the end of his penis, which you would of easliy missed.

Go get checked out and good-luck.

I sounds like a hemorrhoid to me.  I would suggest going to Google, put the word in the search box and then click on images.  You'll get tons of pictures of other people's hemorrhoids so you can compare them to what you're seeing in the mirror.
