Can panic attacks make you feel like your gonna have a heart attack

So for the past while I have had panic attacks like I usually would over dumb things but this Christmas a huge family thing erupted during dinner and now I've been extremely worried about all of the drama following it. But it hasn't been a big deal in the panic department till this evening when I started getting numb feelings and I kinda felt like I was gonna have a heart attack. Is that normal or should I go to the doctor?

This is a common symptom of anxiety, and especially during a panic attack. You can have the chest tightness and trouble breathing. I recommend though that any time your feeling chest pain to see your Dr, just to be safe.

Most things that cause anxiety attacks or panic attacks are not really occurring at the time of the attack.  PTSD is a good example.  It can occur years after a traumatic experience.  Your mind may have been replaying the incident and worrying about the fallout.  It's always best to check out chest pain with your doctor, but panic or anxiety would be one thing that certainly could cause your chest discomfort.

yes anxiety can make you feel like your having a heart attack, thats how most feel, anxiety /stress/panic can do many things to your body. its your mind doing it, so all that you  have can be caused from anxiety. you need to have a good heart check up and after that than you will know its not your heart.
