Can you use Valium briefly instead of Klonopin?

Hi. I have a severe anxiety disorder...I take 1 mg of Klonopin/clonazepam 3x's a day for it, as prescribed by my Dr.
I have lost the rest of my bottle of pills and can not get a refill until the 6th. (It's 3am on the 30th.) I have 5 mg tablets of Valium that are still in date but have never used. (Prescribed for a different issue quite a while back by a different Dr.) I am wary of trying new medications because I am always sensitive to side affects. Anyone used to taking Valium for anxiety? I don't know how much to take either. I am researching it on the net. I only need something to get me through until I can get my Klonopin refill. Stopping Klonop. cold turkey is bad isn't it? Will the Valium help with that? I am Worried...
I also take Gabapentin/Neurontin 100 mg's a night for a nerve pain issue. Is it ok to mix the 2? I am going to call a pharmacist tomorrow too but they usually say talk to my Dr. but she is on vacation.
Any help is greatly appreciated if you know about these meds. Thank you so much!

Thanks for your answer. I've been on gabapentin for a year now for nerve issues...I was just wondering if you could mix it with valium. I am just afraid to stop Klon cold turkey and take valium til the 6th. I think I am just going to have to try a walk in clinic tomorrow...my dr's office Never got back with me. I am going to change drs this is not ok...

it is true that you need to taper off under the supervision of a doctor valium will make you feel severe drowsiness be careful and the gabapentin takes time to work google the pills you want to take before and find out about interactions ok :)
