Catching my breath

I'm not sure this really has anything to do with anxiety, but it does have to do with breathing.

It's been happening for years now, where I'll eat some french fries or anything with a bunch of excess salt and after I'm done eating, or during the time I'm eating, I'll just breath in and I can't catch my breath. It sometimes happens when I'm just sitting there, doing nothing. I'm not sure what to do about it.

Any help?

Its anxiety. I do this also. Or I do it when I eat very fast ( like when I havn't ate all day and do get to eat ). I would bring it up at your next doc's appointment. It might be something that you both are over looking. Also if your a smoker it could be the lungs holding enough air while your eating. Sounds stupid, but its true.

I will tell my doctor next time I go. I think I'm going pretty soon.
&Well, I don't smoke &I hope to never. But my aunt, cousin, my mom's friends, my brother do; and my grandmother did. So, I do get second-hand smoke. Could that be part of it?
