Celexa and Ambien CR

The doctor has prescribed to me 20mg of Celexa (to treat OCD and Panic Disorder) and a small dosage of Ambien CR.  However, I am worried about taking a combination of these drugs because of their interaction. Is there a risk of increase in toxicity for these drugs when taken together? If so, what are the risks?

These medications are often prescribed together, and it's best to talk to your doctor or pharmacist regarding them.  I'm not a big fan of Ambien, but that's just me, and I've known many who have taken it and did just fine.  I feel there are better medications to help you sleep with less side effects.  But only your doctor knows your health history, and I'm sure has a reason for prescribing it to you.  When in doubt, you can always ask the pharmacist.  Normally if a doctor prescribes two medications that are going to interact and cause an adverse reaction to someone if taken, the pharmacist will contact the doctor about it.
