Ciprolex (Lexapro)

alright, so i went to the doctors yesterday because my anxiety has been really bad latley.
my doctor decided to put me on a new anti - depressent. im currently on Luvox which i've been on for about 9 years now, and he's weaning me off of that to half of my normal dose for ten days, then he's putting me on 10 mg of Lexapro (the new one he's put me on) while still taking the half of Luvox, then after a week im going completley off the Luvox and then taking 20 mg of Lexapro.
im extremmmmmmmmmly scared for this process. im scared of withdrawl (withdrawal).
and the effect of the new medication Lexapro.
i could use some reasurance (:
and imput about anybody currently on Lexapro or has been on it before.

25 Male. Suffer from anxiety BAD! On Lexapro for the 2nd time. =) Love it! Barley no side effects at all. The only one I have is a slight sexual side effect. Nothing too big.

Ive even weaned off of it, and it wasnt bad at all. =)

You can do it.  I switched from Effexor or Paxil.  It took some time...do it slow with your doctor.  Again.....you can do it......I have other friends on Lexapro and are doing well.  Don't be afraid.  Just do it slow with your doctor.  Nana
