Citalopram or Celexa question

I took Celexa 2 years ago and it worked I got off of it a year later with help from my doctor. I then started to have panic attacks again so they put me back on it. When I took the celxa before they gave me 20mg I didnt feel like myself so the psychiatrist that I was seeing suggested cut the pill in half. My primary care doctor prescribed me again 20 mg I still cut it in half but she said that she doesnt think it will have a effect with only taking 10mg. Does anyone know if the 10mg will help?

A psychiatrist is much more knowledgeable than a GP when it comes to these types of medications, chances are if it worked before it will again.  You should feel a differenece in 4 to 6 weeks, if not, start the 20 mg.
Take care..

YOU are the only one who will know if the 10mg works or not. I would definitly give it a try. You have nothing to lose. If it doesn't work, you can up the dose and if that makes you feel "not like yourself," you can try something else.
Best of luck
