Citalopram

Hi just wondering if anybody is/has been prescribed citalopram for anxiety and how they got on with it?iv bin taking it for about 3 months now at first it made me ten times worse but im starting to feel netr now x

i have border lint long qr due to being on 60ml of citilopram for 10 plus yeats will slowly weaning my self off cure this peoblem

SSRIs like this can affect us all in different ways in my opinion.  In my experience, I benefited positively on using medications like citalopram (Celexa).  Whenever I start, stop, or adjust dosage my body does go through an 'adjustment' period where my anxiety does increase a little bit.  The reason is probably twofold:  One, there are side effects while getting on and coming off medications like these and two, I was already nervous about taking it, so anything I felt out of the ordinary, I probably attributed to the medication when it might not have been related at all.  Are you also in counseling?  In my opinion, these medications are a good tool to use while you learn about confronting your anxiety....they will not 'cure' you of anything, but are a great asset while you move forward in dealing with this...keep us posted!
