I just started Celexa, 20 mg, I was switched from FluoxetineFluoxetine Fluoxetine hydrochloride Fluoxetine-olanzapine 60 mg because I was still having panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attacks really bad. I was wondering, this is just my third day on Celexa which I had a good day today without being anxious at all, but then tonight I had a panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attack, is there anything that works better then Clonazepam to help dealing with panic attacks?? I was just curious since my doctor is so afraid of using Clonazepam at high doses, I only take .5 mg twice a day as needed, and my panic attacks can be really severe when I do have one. I have only been on Clonazepam for three months. I was on Flouxetine for 9 weeks and I was still having severe anxiety w/ the Clonazepam. I know there is no magic pill but there has got to be something to help until I balance out on my SSRI. Any advice?
Your Dr. knows best. Just trust in him to know he's doing the right thing.
I bet once the Celexa kicks in full swing, you will suffer much less from panic attacks.
I don't have them rarely ever, and I take Lexapro. Seeing a psychologist or councelor? That helps too.
In my opinion, the best benzo for treating short term panic attacks is Xanax, however, it is highly addictive and should only be used when absolutely necessary.
Discuss your concerns about the Klonopin with your doctor and I'm sure you'll come to a viable solution.
