I am 54 yrs of age.I have insomania due to anxity for last 8 years and I am on 2 mg of clonazepam and 87.5 mg of lamotrigene. I can't sleep without these drugs. Lately I have started feeling forgetfulness and never feel fresh in the morning. Now I want to taper clonazepam, as I have been suggested that long term high dosage is not good in the longer run as well. Pl. suggest how to taper it with elapse and pain free.
For me, tapering slowly off of clonazepam worked out fairly well, but I did through the advice of my doctor and stayed in constant communication with him during the taper. The good thing about klonopinKlonopin Klonopin wafer is that it has a much longer half life than many of the other benzosBenzo-o-stetic and I had an easier time coming off of it than others. Bottom line...just ensure you do not take this into your own handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor; talk with your doctor and/or prescribing pharmacist about it. Keep us posted!
