I was prescribed to take clonopin occasionally when I needed it to get back to sleep at night. For a few months I was taking it every night. Now I am sleeping through the night again and stopped taking the clonopin. However, I have developed nausea throughout the day. Could this be due to the withdraw of clonopin?
Nausea is fairly typical upon the abrupt cessation of KlonopinKlonopin Klonopin wafer. Ideally, KlonopinKlonopin Klonopin wafer should be tapered from gradually, rather than discontinued abruptly. This will minimize or prevent withdrawal phenomena such as nausea.
If you've been off of the KlonopinKlonopin Klonopin wafer for more than two weeks, the nausea will fade over a span of several weeks (rarely, months). If it persists and is troublesome, reinstating 1/2 of the former dose nightly for one week will resolve the issue. After the initial week, reduce the dosage by 1/2 again for an additional week, then stop. This should be performed under medical supervision.
