Constant symptoms?

Constant symptoms?

Hello,

I have a question about anxiety .. The docter told me i have anxiety (without any tests)

But he says, many people have it after someone they love died (my dad died a year a go, on a heartattack, i tryed to help him, but i was to late)

A few months after he died, i was watching tv on my bed, and my stomach was moving on every heartbeat .. It scared me and i got a panic attack, so I went to the docter, and he told me there was nothing wrong with me, I just had a panic attack! (my first ever) .. But I didnt trust him, so i was searching on the internet, and I found something with the aorta .. And i got scared again, (my second panic attack was born) .. I went to the docter again, and he told me the same story .. Your having a panic attack! But to calm me down, he told me to have a ultra sound at the hospital .. So i did! Everything was perfect .. So I felt much beter, and (in my opinion) i was free of panic (i had no symptoms anymore) .. But then i got it back .. Just out of nowhere .. A panic attack! .. So I went to the docter again, and he told me the same story, and he told me i had anxiety .. So i tryed to accept it, and i didnt have a panic attack for like 6/7 months .. But my heartbeat is still very strong .. I can see it beat in my stomach (but i know thats ok, as i had a ultrasound)

But it also beats very strong in my chest .. I can see it, it looks like my heart wants to come out ..It beats very strong, and when i had a couple of beers .. The day after its getting even worse, it starts beating even harder (not fast)

And my symptoms are constant there, I'm still checking it a few times a day .. But it doesnt scare me anymore (atleast i think it doesnt) ..

But like i said, my symptoms are 24/7 .. They never go away, even ive been relaxing for hours .. When i check after i relaxed, its still there.

Is it normal? Or should i go back to the docter, and tell him he's wrong about anxiety and stuff .. And i have something more serious?

Thanks,

sorry for the bad english, I'm dutch! But in holland we don't have good sites about anxiety.

It certainly sounds like anxiety to me. I have panic/anxiety attacks, and they can appear without warning. One of the main symptoms of anxiety is the forceful, rapid heart beat, I know how scary it is, I am always scared when I feel my heart beat, in fact, I have PAC's and they really scare me.

If you keep having all these problems and they start running your life, I would get a second opinion, but, I would say that the next doctor will probably tell you the same thing.  There are test that can determine how healthy your heart is, such as an Echocardiogram, EKG, blood work, if all these are "normal" then you are fine.

Try not to think too much about the heart rate, I know the more I feel my pulse to check to see how it is, the more it will act up. Just that worrying about the heart can cause panic and those feelings that are so horrible.

Hope this helps.
