Could I have HIV symptoms because of fear or anxiety.

Please help I am loosing my mind...

I had protected vaginal sex with sex a worker and unprotected oral sex and I swallowed her vaginal fluids. I am not sure if the condom was broken or not. I got very worries and two weeks later I developed persist symptoms of low grade fever, headaches, sore throat, muscles pain in my legs, stomach pain, very dry mouth, nausea and total loss of appetite for two weeks now, no other symptoms.

I went to a doctor and she said it's a heavy flu with throat inflammation and gave antibiotics. After I take the antibiotic pill the fever goes away for 2-3 hours and then comes back again.

My questions are: am I at high risk for HIV infection and could the STDs develop such symptoms and does the HIV-fever reacts to antibiotics as in my case. When is the proper time to have HIV test and what kind of tests should I do.

I'm really very tensed ans scared. Is there any medicine I can take now to avoid getting HIV infection or what should I do. Could these symptoms because of fear or anxiety or other diseases

Thanks.

Oral is not an HIV risk and no one in history has caught HIV this way. No one can catch it from protected sex either.

Therefore your self-diagnosed "symptoms" are either
in your head from tensing up and fearing you were dying so you would sweat in fear,
or something you had before but never noticed because you didn't think you were dying then
or something that millions of other people experience when they have a cold or something like that. I skipped over your self-diagnosed "symptoms", since they have nothing to do with HIV (since you don't have it) and because only a doctor can diagnose you, so if you are convinced there is a health issue you will have to see a doctor.

Try to relax because you have been mistakenly self-diagnosing out of fear, and if there is nothing wrong with you the "symptoms" will disappear, allowing you to live your former happy life again . Otherwise check with your doctor to see if you have a flu that needs treating.

Sorry, I read the last part of your post now and see that you have already seen a doctor. Continue seeing her if you are worried about your flu.
