Crazy or Anxious?

Has anyone else had hallucinations, seizure like electric jolts, runnaway nightmarish thoughts, or flashing lights in their vision? I am afraid of going insane or being schizophrenic.

you are not going mad, believe me! By the way how old are you - Schizophrenia can be very very well spotted by the age of 25, so it's not a mental problem that has very subtle symptoms. I am suffering from anxiety and panic attacks which caused some moderate depression and I have been thinking about these things all the time - am I mad now, what are these thoughts, why am I thinking it, is my mind sick now, I can't escape, am I going to do something bad to someone I love just becuase I can't control my mind anymore, is all that's happening really true! Well, these are very few of the things I have been thinking about.

Don't worry - an anxious nerves system can really mess up your thoughts!

I've had the electric jolts, they are horrible. I mostly feel them in my gut and in my legs, it makes sleeping pretty hard sometimes. I've also had the flashing vision, like there was a strobe light going off or something all the time. I thought it would never go away, but luckily it did. Every once in a while I'll still have vision issues when I get anxious, but it's nowhere near as bad as it once was. I've also had the thoughts that martins777 talked about, I was scared I was schizophrenic or that I was going to go crazy and hurt someone or myself.

It's all anxiety, which is ridiculous, but there it is.
