Thank you everyone for you're responses, I feel much better. xox
Yes, derealization can come common with anxiety. I personally get it once in a while. Its very scary, but "normal" in terms of anxiety symptoms. Normally if I go to sleep, when I wake back up I feel back to normal. Sometimes I get this when I'm not feeling very anxious too. I think its just something your brain does when its freaking out, maybe to protect you? Not quite sure though. Just know derealization is pretty common in people with anxiety, try not to let it freak you out!
My first instinct is to accept the catastrophes that I think will happen will come true. Lately I have been trying to think of alternate endings in my head.
thats part of anxiety. the brain runs rampant in the craziest of directions and when you cant stop it anxiety turns to panic. I find its the hardest thing to control. when it happens. For me deep breathing really helps slow the tide of crazy unproductive thoughts.
