Detox

I have been taking 3 narco's 10/325 everyday for about 2 years and want to self detox. Am I safe to quit cold turkey? I don't take any other meds nor do I drink or smoke. How bad will the withdrawls be (I weigh 210 lbs)?

First of all....we have an excellent community that would probably be better suited to your needs...It's the "Addiction:Substance Abuse" Forum...and it is full of great people who have lived this...and who are going through the same thing you are. There is a lot of support there.  There is another Addiction Forum....the "Social" forum...it was set up more as a chat room kind of place for the users of the Addiction forum to use for more off topic subjects....so while it's a nice place as well, start with the "Substance Abuse" Forum.

I'll just comment briefly for you.  Yes, you CAN self-detox.  No, it won't be easy...you will have withdrawals, simply b/c of the length of time you've been taking the Norco.  Now, b/c you have only taken 3 per day, it will minimize the symptoms vs people who have used much more.  Again, you will suffer w/d, but no matter how uncomfortable it gets, it will not "harm" you.

There are many methods you can use to help minimalize your symptoms along the way (again, the Addiction forum is the place to be), including the "Thomas Recipe" which many swear by.  Just remember that no matter what you do, you won't be able to avoid SOME level of discomfort.
