Dizziness that does not go away

Does anyone experience dizziness that lingers and effects you day to day?? I know all about anxiety, as i was diagnosed in 1998 and once treated was able to control the minor symptoms that would come and go. I had my thyroid removed in dec of 09 and about a year later, my panic attacks returned and are getting worse. One symptom that i did not have was dizziness. Within a few months apart, i've experienced dizziness while asleep and when it woke me up, i felt as if i was on a merrygoround (horrible feeling). This time, it did not go away, although it seems to happen whenever i lay down or attempt to fall asleep but during the day I feel completing out of it (sick type of feeling). I'm seeing many specialists since my thyroid removal and i recently had a eeg by my neurologist which turned out fine. I've also read about inner ear infections causing this, however don't think that's my problem but instead leaning toward Anxiety. I would love to hear similiar stories and comments on this.

I have had a constant lighthead feeling for 2 years now from the moment I wake up till I go to sleep and lately it's been waking me up. I also get dizzy spells and head rushes around 5 to 6 times a day. I could just be sitting doing nothing when these happen. I don't know what to do anymore. I have just stopped crying a second ago because tonight it's hitting me bad. I've been to alot of doctors and specialists as in cardiologists ent and neurologists! And everything comes back normal. I try tell myself it's anxiety, but it's hard to believe it cause this dizziness/lighthead and head rushes are so common and daily 24/7!! And it cause my blood pressure to go up at times! I've had two 24 hour blood pressure monitors on and they said it's normal also! So I really don't know what to do with myself anymore. Im a 28 year old female with a 10 year old son 2 year old daughter and 2 month old daughter. I can't do this anymore

Thanks for the response. It's hard not to freak out, that's the scariest thing. It happens when i lay down and even sleep, the most.

Oh yes definitely. I've been going through the same thing in fact for the past few days. My problem is I will get a head rush or feel the spinning sensation and I will freak out and start having an anxiety attack which makes the dizziness worse. I know it's hard but try to remain calm when this happens. I find my dizziness goes away within a few minutes when I remain calm.
