I have cronic pain in both feet...I now believe it to be a pinched sicatic nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity. I am also on doctor #5...telling each of them the same story. Lower back pain, shoots down the back of both legs and into feet, and my feet tingle. I get about half way through my description and you can tell when the doctor either doesen't believe me or just tunes me out.
Now...I'm not a really big guy, 6 ft..200lbs and work out each morning. I'm inches away from putting my neurologist in his hospital. All he wants to do is get me started on a trycyclic or SSRI...when I inform him I am not able to tollerate the side effects he really gets mad.
I have an appointment in 3 weeks to have the shot in the back...please pray for me that it works. Am I the only one with a doctor that wont listen? Does this make anyone else as mad as me? I truly believe they are 50% of my anxiety.
Have you been checked for plantarPlantar fasciitis fasciitis? I have it and what you are describing sounds similar with the exception of the lower back pain. Have you ever had your feet x-rayed?
I've had x-rays, an MRI on my left foot and lower back. Docs ruled out Plantar Fascitis as well as Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. The back MRI showed a small narrowing but the doc said not a lot to worry about. I said "then why do my feet, knees and legs still hurt?" All he wanted to do was put me on Amatriptyline...I said "HECK NO!"
I can imagine how frustrating it is for you. Maybe try acupuncture if all else fails? I heard it does wonders for some people. I hope things will get better real fast for you.
Best wishes!
