Does anxiety cause you to twitch when sleeping

I seem to twitch more when im tired. Is this anxiety causes it. Do other have the same going on.

yeah I have anxiety and sometimes my eye will begin to twitch. It's a major symptom of anxiety

Yes, I twitch when I am upset about things. Mainly when I remember bad things.

This can definately be one of the symptoms of anxiety. Make sure you are not going heavy on the caffeine, and allow yourself plenty of time to wind down before hitting the sac.

former twitcher here, too. A pinch of xanax keeps it from happening for me, so it certainly must be anxiety although an emt/paramedic friend of mine says she takes xanax and naproxen when she throws her back out to relieve muscle tension..soperhaps it just eases my muscles so I don't twitch when I'm anxious...

Anxiety depletes magnesium. And a magnesium deficiency can cause twitches. A good soak in a tub of epsom salts helps me.
