The very worst thing you can do when you're suffering from health-related anxiety is search the web...it would scare the daylights out of ANYONE, let alone someone with anxiety! If you want to read posts here, read the ones about anxiety, ones from people with similar problems as you...and empower yourself with the knowledge of what those people did to help themselves!
You can and will feel better, but it is going to take some work and patience on your part! You've received excellent advice thus far about different ways to tackle anxiety. I recommend you start looking into your options today!
Try to busy yourself by spending time with your family....go for a walk, watch a funny movie. Just getting your mind off anxiety even for a few minutes is always helpful!
If therapy isn't helping you, then medication is the best route to go. You have to understand that anxiety is like any other medical condition requiring daily medication to control the symptoms. Don't get hung up on because it's a mental condtion that you should be able to handle this on your own......we rarely can. If medication helps and gives you your life back, it is all worth it. Since you get upset reading other's posts on websites like this, it would be best if you stayed off of them. We're here to help, not hinder your recovery. Plus, keep in mind for every bad experience there are thousands of good ones. We just don't hear about them because people are living their lives and don't feel the need to be on here. You need to work on accepting that you are fine because this worry and fear is fueling your anxiety....creating a vicious cycle. Some of us just have anxiety and never know why, so we have to do what it takes to be able to live our lives. You're losing precious time with your wife and son due to this worrying and I know you don't want this. I'm not down-playing how hard this is to do....been there, just trying to help you see that it's an irrational fear with no basis. Reading about other's experiences can help us or scare us, you have to decide what it's doing for you and take appropriate action. Maybe take up some activities to do with your family and alone to keep you busy, and exercise is great for anxiety as well as avoiding caffeine. I think the less you read about this, the easier it will be to let go and relax a little. I hope this helps a little and I wish you all the best.
