Dose People who are overly time-oriented have more risk to get heart disease?

Hi im 23years old female and suffering with this Anxiety since I was 14,ma first attack was after 3days my dad died
That time I didn't know what is it?but it actually started after i gave birth to my son,my heart skips a beat and pain in my left side under left ribcage my left leg shortness of breathe blurry eyes dizziness and racing heart,I ve been to my doctor in July 2011 and he diagnosed me with anxiety,I'm seeing a counsellor now which is quite helping but the reason I'm posting a question 1st time is:::
I had to go to my aunty's house cause they invite me to a tea party and I had my zumba dance class near where I live so I had to come back before 7pm,I left her house at 6pm but the traffic was horrible that took me 1 whole hour to reach at my destination but 1st time I noticed that rushing and making myself hurry is putting pressure on my heart and again I was having all symptoms again,I was so scared and I searched on google and there one website is saying that people who are in hurry and stressed alot about will they can do a task on time or not put them in a high risk of getting heart disease? Is it true? As time became my main problem with anxiety I worry about future all d time can't live in present why please I really want to cry?why God made this anxiety? Plz anybody help?

No, not at 23 years old. The anxiety can cause you to tense up and not breathe right, that's why your chest can hurt. I've been through it a million times. If it were a true heart attack you would know. I'm much older than you and I did have a heart attack last year. Actually, I had no anxiety while having it. I knew it was a heart attack and not anxiety. I hope this does'nt scare you because that is not my intention at all. I just wanted to let you know that your not having a heart attack, it's anxiety.
I'm really glad to hear your in counseling. How long have you been going?

I feel so bad for you. We that have anxiety completely understand how your feeling. It's very common to be worried about your health when you have anxiety. Try your best to calm down during all situations.
You were given great advice by the above poster. Think about getting in to counseling.
I truly doubt that your having heart problems because of your age. Anxiety can cause chest pain, shortness of breath and so many other symptoms.

Hey..

Thanks for joining us here in the anxiety forum.

Sorry you are having a time of it with panic just now. When a person suffers from an anxiety disorder, it is important to accept and learn to deal with it.  My psychiatrist told me several times to 'go slow', or 'go with the flow'...things like that.

It isn't about time so much as it is about our anxious thoughts.  Try to leave early for scheduled events.  When I worked I always left before it was necessary, and tried to enjoy the drive, instead of stressing about traffic.

A good use of cell phones is that you can call ahead if a traffic accident or anything happens to prevent you from making it to your destination on time.

I don't know about heart disease , but it is true that anxiety can cause a multitude of physical ailments.  It is a disorder that should be taken seriously.  Therapy is helpful.  I probably wouldn't be here now if I hadn't gotten excellent advice on how to change my attitudes toward life.

Perfectionism is often a part of anxiety...suspect it is with you.

Hope you can learn to calm down while you are young.  What you panic about today, will be no big deal in a few years.

You want to live in the present...find joy in each day.  If you are a little late, so what?  You can't control traffic.  All you can control is your feelings about it.

We are a good group to talk to...but I hope you'll find a psychiatrist/psychologist to assist you....
