ECT treatments

My daughter is going through ECT treatments she has had 5 treatments. they have taken her off one of her medication Colsopine. She is still using marajauna is this going to be harmfull along with this treatment. She is 42 and I have no say but would love to know what to expect as I am her only supporter. Thanks Rose

You don't say why she's taking the ECT - I assume depression probably. If that's so, marijuana will likely not help the depression symptoms. Usually makes it worse is used on a regular or semi-regular basis. If she smokes occasionallly 1x or 2x a week max, it may be ok. But if she uses everyday or close to that, she'll likely never recover from depression, IMHO. Good luck!

Thanks for your help, Yes depression she has very rare side effects to so many of the meds they have tried,so this ECT is one of the last actions they can try to get her off this medication colosapine or however it's spelt LOL as it is causing her wweight problems. Yes she smokes every day and not just one or two. I wish she was not smoking at all. I was worried about an answer thanks for caring Rose
