Electric Shocks Anxiety. How to get rid of them?

by matt76420, Dec 30, 2007 09:51AM
I started getting these electric shocks/buzzes through my body, which even not painful is disruptive, uncomfortable and upsetting. I've had them intermittent for over two months now and no end in sight. I am feeling so down about them, as i have had a panic attacks before, but these happen at random times and it feels like my life is out of control. I am trying to carry on as normal, but they are still happening. At the back of my mind i'm always looking over my shoulder for the next episode of them. Can anyone give some adivce on how to get to the root of the anxiety and get them to stop, as i feel like they are taking over my life.
Thanks

I know exactly what you are talking about. It feels like little electrical charges going through your head. They are caused by anxiety and will go away over time as you get the anxiety under control. I've found that when things like this occur the more you focus and give attention to it, the worse they become. As the saying goes, what you resist will persist. I know easier said then done but just accept the feelings as anxiety and they will go away over time.
