Extreme Sleepiness

My doctor prescribed me clonapin and celexa together at night. I take 20 mg celexa and 2mg clonapin and i sleep ok ,but the next day i am S0000 tired that i cannot function. Sleeping 15 hours a day! I've been taking them for a month now and i am worried that something is not right with this combination. The problem is, that if i don't take them i cannot get to sleep. What should i do? By the way, i also take percocet 7.5 mg for pain issue.

One thing you can ask your doc about trying is dividing the Celexa into two doses.  I've also never heard of being told to take an antidepressant at night -- usually it's prescribed in the morning or once in the morning, once in the afternoon.  The clonazepam is also a very large dose, and percocet is also sedating.  I've never felt benzos were a good sleep medication because, although they do make many people sleepy if they take enough of it, they interfere with REM sleep so you don't get that good quality sleep.  They aren't designed or intended or approved as a sleep remedy -- tiredness is an unwanted side effect.  I'm not saying not to use it as your doctor suggests, just suggesting some things for discussion when you see your doc next as you're having problems.

I also have a paratheasia and i can even feel a wrinkle in the sheet that will Not let me get comfortable in bed, so that is why i take clonapin and celexa together, so i more or less "knock myself out" so i can get to sleep. It is like the "Pea and the Matress" syndrome. My body is sensitive to anything that comes in contact with it. I feel EVERYTHING at a hightened level when i am lying down.Oversensitive nerve sensation. It's a strange dilemma!

I took Celexa for a few months and was very tired all day.  I tried taking it at night, but was still tired during the day.  I just switched myself back to Prozac, which does not make me sleepy.

I would strongly suggest contacting your doctor to discuss this issue. Tiredness can be a side effect to all three of these medications, and in combination you could really be getting slammed. After a month, the tiredness usually begins to abate, but not always and not for everyone.
Best to run this by your doc.
You'll be fine..........probably just need a little "tweaking."
