Feel really anxious and need help!!!

Well, I post a question 3 days ago and didn't get an answer.

Here the problem, will write a short message, maybe it will be more clear.

4 days ago I had some results from blood test and heart tests. It's seem that I have a mitral valve prolaspe problem. My blood work are ok for the thyroid but i'm not sure for the corsitol. My result for the morning cortisol seem to be low, the Doc say it was ok but I look in the Internet and find out it was 15 nmml more lower than the low limit... It's complicated, I think in the USA they don't measure it like in the Canada... not sure...

Here the problems: I want to know if it can be related to a high level of Adrenaline or not?!?

Chronic unstable blood pressure (an average of 110/60 since 1 month now, it was before always in the 130/80 and more). With that unstable blood pressure, I have extreme mental and physical fatigue, who lead to a cascade of symptoms and a lot of anxiety. The symptoms related to the unstable blood pressure are constant dizziness, eyes pain (like they are burning a lot and I have a lot of tears), vertigo, chest pain at rest and while I to a physical task (pain is always on the left side and sometimes in the middle of my chest (sternum), extreme teeth and jaw pain, it's seem that my blood pressure increase for a little while after I eat cause my head feel hot, my ears also, but the low blood pressure return fast and I feel again dizzy, spacy and anxious. I have chronic stomach pain as well. It's not seem to be related to a stomach acid problem since I have some Pantaloc pills that I use once in a while or some Zantac and they do nothing to stop the stomach pain. Of course, I do a lot of panic attacks....

If I do something to hard physically or push my limits to hard, I have to pay the price for this. For example, I had my Christmas dinner with my familly last evening and I was feeling so anxious and my heart and all the symptoms was so strong, I was scare... after 2 hours I had to go in my bedroom and close the light, put my ear plugs and sleep, I wans't able to deal with the noise, the peoples around me... I wake up this morning and I feel like I will die, really... my heart hurt a lot, my head also, my hands are all red and clammy, same for my feet, I can't take my shower cause i'm too much dizzy and my heart race as hell...I feel like I will die and I hate that!!!  Can't even concentrate to write that message without feeling the pain inside my chest increasing and feeling like the computer screen move alone... that's not a life...and that's not fun at all...

I also have all the time a tension headache but only on the left side of my head (pain under my left eye and near the temple and left ear). I can feel constantly my pulse rate on my left temple of my head, who make me a lot anxious and more aware of my weak pulse rate (too much slow or too fast, never in the middle range now).

My pupils are always dilated to the point that i'm very sensitive to the light. I have loud tinnitus all the times, but today it's worse than usual, maybe because of the last evening familly dinner or the fatigue or too much stress? It's like start hearing a loud noise in my left ear and I can't hear very well for 15 minutes or more and after 30 minutes, the sound decrease a little bit and suddenly I have another loud noise in the left ear... I had in the past small tinnitus, but it was because I was listening to my music too loud...

Well... with the weak blood pressure and pulse rate, I can't start the beta-blocker med the Doc RX to me, don't want to faint or feel more tired.

Since I only had my cortisol tested and no other hormones, do I have to ask to see an Endocronologist? The Doc say no for a reference paper to see one... so I don't know what to do????

OR Do I call my Cardiologist and ask him to have other tests done , something like a 24 hours machine who will take my blood pressure and pulse rate, to see if I can start the beta-blocker or not?

I always thought that adrenaline release raise the blood pressure, not lowering it!!! Weird no? It can be another hormones who is not ok... ?

I'm alone to feel like this here? I wonder when all of this will end... Too bad, I improved a little bit last fall, I was feeling like crap BUT I was able to deal with a little bit more anxiety related to some mentally and physically task I was doing or be a passenger of a car or have a familly dinner and talk with the other peoples... Now everything seem to touch my autonomic nervous system and make me anxious as hell!!!

Well.... have to stop, my head hurt and my chest hurt also... i'm so tired to feel that way and to feel like I will die ....

Wow. lots of information, thanks I know it is tough to go through Anxiety especially with MVP. From everything I have read sufferers of MVP have high instances of Anxiety, im not quite sure they understand the why, just that its a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. As you know the ANS controls quite a bit including blood pressure, so if your MVP is acting up it may not be surprising that you have fluctuations in blood pressure, sweating, heart rate or anything related to ANS.

Im not a doctors so I really dont know what the latest magic potions they have to help control a funky ANS, but this is common, and may effect up to 20% of the population. Also because you are a anxiety sufferer and have legitimate physical symptoms I think you are concentrating much to much on them.

In regards to adrenaline, I think your symptoms are most likely related to your MVP and accompanying anxiety which of course does increase adrenaline, which sparks fight or flight and will increase blood pressure. But go to your doctors and ask them their advice with all of your symptoms, also make sure they tell you about MVP.

Good Luck

Hey! Thanks for your answer!
You are right... and what I don't understand is why the first Cardiologist I meet back in March never see on the echography or with the holter 24 hours test that I had a MVP!!! The second Cardiologist I see in October just listen to me and my symptoms and was able to diagnostic a MVP on me?!?... Witch one I have to believe?

For the automatic nervous system, no drugs really act on it... The Docs choose the meds to treat your symptoms, in my case it's anxiety disorders (panic, GAD, OCD, bulimia...)... so they will RX an antidepressants, who will reduce the OCD, especially about the heart and reduce the panic attacks frequency and the GAD. They will also RX a benzo med to relax the autonomic nervous system and reduce the anxiety but those meds don't work on me anymore, i'm on 8 mg of rivotril daily, divided into 16 doses of 0.5 mg and it's doing nothing for my anxiety, fears, aprehension or panic. I told my Doc about the situation and my symptoms but he cannot do anything, he say that I need serotonin, so I need to be back on the Paxil, but I can't start it, I try several times in the last year and 1 mg was enough to trigger panic attacks and increase all my symptoms for a whole day... I also explain to him that I was tired to feel addicted to the rivotril, even if it's not working and that maybe a change in the Benzo meds will be more appropriate, the rivotril make me more depress... but he say no... he his maybe right because in the past I try all the others benzo meds without any succees, I had strong addiction with the Xanax, more sedation from the Valium, felt nothing from the Serax or the Ativan, same for the Bromazepam or the Librium...

The main reason why i'm not sure my symptoms are all linked to the adrenaline is because my blood pressure is low most of the time when I feel bad... and adrenaline raise the blood pressure... so that's why I don't want to take the Beta-Blocker, cause I faint 4-5 times in the last 4 months and I feel extremely tired physically... I don't want to faint or feel more tired, I will not be able to deal with that!

I think I will call the Cardiologist again monday, in hope he will not be in holidays for the whole week!!! I need to know about the MVP... I never heard of this before... The Doc I see last Thursday don't explain to me what it is... I didn't had the time to ask him, I had only 15 minutes with him and have a lot of other things to discuss with him... one thing is sure, I will need a 24 hours test with the blood pressure machine and maybe another stress test on the treadmill with an echography of my heart... Maybe that will all those tests, if they are negative, I will be able to relax and stop focusing on my heart, who will lesser the panic, OCD and GAD...

Anyway, thanks for your answer!
