Flank pain when nervous or scared

I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder about 4 years ago. I am doing much, much better now.  One thing I am finding and wondering if it is related to anxiety or something else, when I am scared or nervous about something, I get horrible flank pain and chest pain. It happened to me 2 months ago when I was pulled over by a cop for speeding, I was nervous and the pain went right into my flank area on both sides and I had chest pain going on, I almost said something to the cop about the chest pain, but waited it out to see if it subsided, which it did after about 20 minutes, as did the flank pain.  Last night I had run into a situation where I was scared, long story, but it made me very nervous and the same thing happened, terrible flank pain and chest pain, which again subsided. I was driving both times and had to drive while in pain, it was not fun.  Could this be due to the adrenaline?  Has anyone here ever had the same symptoms?  I will be calling my doctor tomorrow to discuss this, that is if she calls me back and I know she will want me to come in, I am sick of visiting doctors already.

I'm glad to hear your seeing your Dr. What your going through does sound like anxiety. Many of us that have it also have the chest pain and pain in other parts of our bodies. It's the muscles tightening up. It's best to see your Dr just in case. Please let us know what you find out.  Remar
