Frequent infections with anxiety.

I am only 18 but was hit hard with anxiety symptoms about 6 months ago. Since then i have been getting infections over and over and very easily. The latest one is so bad that it has reached my bone and the doctor thinks my finger might have to be amputated because its not responding to treatment. he said its not normal for an 18 year old to have so many infections but they cant find anything causing the problem. My question is..i thought anxiety could not hurt you..but in the health pages it says stress or anxiety can cause frequent infections..is this true?

It is true that anxiety can cause your immune system to weaken.  but it's not going to cause an infection that goes to the bone.  Your body may weaken your immune system but medical treatment (antibiotics) would still work.  You should have this looked at more.  Possibly look into why your immune system is having trouble fighting off these infections.  Anxiety would not cause this.
