GAD and thyroid problems

Hello all,
I have been diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder, but I have been struggling for months with appetite problems, rapid weight loss, decreased vision, muscle spasms and twitching, headaches, and just about every other symptom of hyperthyroidism, but when I went to the doctor last (a few months ago when it all began) they took a blood sample to check and said that my levels of whatever they check for were normal. My symptoms have gotten steadily worse, and I have another doctor's appointment in about 2 weeks. Should I push to have the test redone or does anyone know of anything else that could cause the same problems? I am beginning to get scared...

I am not currently on any meds, I was taking Lexapro and Zyprexa but I have been off of both for over a year now because I lost my health insurance and couldn't afford them. I do suffer from shortness of breath, occasionally unprovoked but also frequently after very light activity (like getting out of my car and walking up my porch steps.) I am 22 years old and slim, but I often find myself saying "wow, I am really out of shape"

My symptom list is so long that I frequently get brushed off as a hypochondriac. I get frequent headaches, joint pain, muscle spasms and twitching, nervousness, unprovoked anxiety attacks, vision loss (and I'm starting to go a little colorblind), fainting, difficulty sleeping, irregular heartbeat and fluttering, mood swings, disorientation, weakness, jumpiness, weakness and fatigue....plus all the trouble I have with my stomach on a daily basis. I know that it is probably not all connected but I have just been getting worse and worse since the beginning of summer.

thats funny you bring that up, I have, and had the same problem.
they tested me at first too and said my thyroid was alright.
I didnt really loos allot of weight though. its just hard for me to put it on.
I was kinda going to lean to getting rechecked.
do you get DPs/DR's too?
also, if your going to get rechecked, you might as well get checked for deficiency's like Vitamin b's and all of that.
That can also create the same symptoms.
I still need to get checked for that.
what other symptoms do you get?
