GAD or Neurological problems?

Can anyone tell me if GAD can cause all of the following physical symptoms?

Vertigo (swaying back and forth/no spinning)
Nausea
Stomach Pain
Pain under breasts (behind rib cage/sternum)
Frequent Belching
Sharp, stabbing head pain (and pressure)
Tingling/twitching in face and lips
Onset of sweating
Tingling/pain in random parts of body (particulary arms/legs/hands/feet)
Blurred vision
Feeling of lump in throat (or throat tightening)
Electrical shock feeling in arms/legs

I have been experiencing these symptoms off and on throughout the day since May 2007. There is rarely a day in which I don't experience at least several (if not all) of these things. I am a 41 year old female and about 40 lbs overweight. I work full-time and am raising a strong-willed 4 year old daughter completely on my own. I have always been very healthy and rarely had to visit the doctor until all of this started last year. I have seen my GP numerous times and have had two MRIs (brain/spine) last year. All of my lab tests (as well as the MRIs) have been deemed normal (with the exception of a vitamin D deficiency). I've feared my symptoms to be the start of MS so I've seen a neurologist twice. Since I don't have spasticity or gait issues, she feels that I do not have MS and that my symptoms are somatic. I know that I have a lot of stress and responsibility in my life but don't feel I spend my time being anxious or worrying excessively (frankly I don't have time to)!! Can GAD cause this long list of symptoms that occur daily? My symptoms are VERY real. I know that they are not all in my head. I'm just looking for help and some answers. Does anyone out there have any of these same symptoms?

I know this post was from 3 years ago, but I'm still reading, and thought someone else may be too.

I have GAD as well, though it's associated with PTSD. I have had REALLY similar symptoms to those described above, and yes they can be anxiety-related. No, they are not in your head, not at all.

HOWEVER, looking at this list exactly as it is literally SCREAMS gall bladder to me. The limp in the throat and random tingling can be anxiety, but when it's specifically in the face and lips along with numbness, that's a really specific symptom that will help with diagnosis.

Please just keep in mind that the nausea, dizzyness/vertigo, pain in the rib cage, blurred vision, abdominal pain, and belching -- especially all together like this -- would be classic gall bladder and/or liver issue.

I hope you found some help!

I have GAD and panic disorder and I have all your symptoms minus the stomach pain, and the electrical shocks.

I get brain zaps in my head though but thats from xanax/prozac.

So anxiety COULD cause all your symptoms for sure, the brain is a very powerful thing.   Just make sure to rule anything more serious out.
