My vision has been worse since anxiety began really bad 2 years ago. We strain when we are anxious and we focus on things that are "not right". I have major vision issues, thought I needed glasses, but I don't. What kind of issues do you have?

Yep...anxiety can cause a whole bunch of symptoms; it also tends to focus us even further on a particular feeling even if it is not that serious.  What does your doctor say?

Vision issues are definitely common with anxiety.  When I started experiencing "derealization" for the first time (check out my journals, more info there)...I went to a SLEW of eye docs insisting something was wrong with my vision.

What basically happens is...being in a constant state of heightened awareness causes you to feel as though things "look funny"..."unreal"....as though you are looking thru a movie camera, instead of your own eyes.  A "detatched" feeling.  Everyone describes it a bit differently.

This is just a suggestion of what you might be experiencing.  If everything looks weird, odd, etc...but you just cannot put your finger on it...or...like one of your eyes is seeing totally different from the other...that could be derealization.

Just something to think about.  Definitely wouldn't hurt to have your doc give you a once over, but try not to be TOO concerned about it just yet...it is a common complaint with anxiety.

Let us know how you're doing!
