HELP!!

I need to wean myself off of clonazepam. I have been on it for over 5yrs. I take 1mg four times a day for anxiety/panic attacks. How can I do this? It really scares me but I think I am better off not taking it anymore. Thanks!

They really are clueless most of the time.  When you find a good one, stick with that person!

Thank you so much for the advise. I do see a psychiatrist and she was the one that told me to wean off of it but didn't tell me how to do it. Go figure!!! Time to see a new psychiatrist!!

You need to taper off very very carefully and slowly.  A good psychiatrist will set up a schedule of weaning off, a bad psychiatrist will just give you a boilerplate schedule that has nothing to do with you as an individual.  Because you're on a very high dose (due to the frequency of use) this will probably not be a quick process, so play it safe.  If you surf the net you can find different methods of tapering off so you can learn how different researchers recommend doing it.
