TELL ME ABOUT IT xanax is a trap once u start its all over. I bet ksalo16 you felt great after taking a 2mg xanax. I started taking it 2 years ago i know take a 2 mg pill 4 times a day and as FMXSMKR is talking about it i dont even feel good when i take it i just feel like **** pardon my language when i miss a dose. its a quick acting benzo that is highly addictive and the withdrawals are worse then an anxiety attack

I was on xanax 12 years ago and it took me only 4 weeks to get hooked on them,i went through absolute hell trying to get off them, words can not describe how bad you feel trying to withdrawl from them.they are a short acting drug so every 4 hours i would go into convulsions, after one year of hell i was put on valium to help me withdrawl from the xanax, valium is a long acting drug so it was much easier to come of them.
I took valium again 3 years ago thinking it would be easy to come of them due to my experience 12 years ago,how wrong i was im still on them today trying like hell to get off them with out success they are causing severe anxiety, impossible to sleep, depersonalisation, chronic depressionand severe headaches.Trust me leave benzos well alone, don't go through the same hell as me.

Sorry, had to go to bed last night, but I'm back.  You don't want to manipulate your doctor, but rather be just very honest about how your feeling.  If your anxious, can't sleep, say that......I assume you have.......it wouldn't hurt to say you've tried a xanax and it worked well for you, but if your going to ask for this type of med which is called a benzodiazepine, ask for Valium instead.

I hope this is helpful and sorry I had to stop last night.  I have only been on the internet since this July and I'm not sure how to have a conversation in real time, like instantly back and forth.....or maybe the messages take a long time to get to the other person, I don't know......Or how to tell when a msg is there since it doesn't just appear before your eyes.....I'll have to ask my teenage niece about this.

Good luck hun.

what if i told him "I took just one and it was a miricle, happier, did all my work without getting up every 2 minutes and everyone around me said I seem happier that day', then say, 'but im not lookin to scam you" - ide say that part in a different way though

Yeah, I can see where ambian wouldn't work for your symptoms.  You sound exactly like me when I was your age.  You need relief from the muscle tension and to slow your mind down so you can think straight....am I right?  Sometimes, antidepressants take 4-6wks to work and being patient is really difficult because you just want to relax..

exactly right what do I say so i can get some anything in particular?

Okay, seeing a psych, that's good.  Did the doctor put you on xanax or did someone give you this to try?

Okay, um...I'm not quite sure of your question, but if I understand you correctly, the symptoms of anxiety are nervousness, tension, insomnia....just an all around inability to relax.  Are you seeing a psychiatrist or a general practitioner and are you very young?

If you have anxiety every day then xanax is NOT what you need.  This drug is for occasional use only.  I have been on this drug for 12 or more years and it's a trap you don't want to get into, I promise.  Your body will become used to it quickly and then you will start to have rebound anxiety which is even worse.  It's a vicious cycle.  Valium would be a better choice.  You should really talk to a psychiatrist about how you're feeling, not your family doctor.  A psych is trained to deal with anxiety and depression and you will get better results from this type of doctor.

Best of luck to you.
