Head tingling.... possibility of being caused by teeth?

I read in one of the forums that a lot of people are having the same issue I am.  Have been having this weird tingling sensation in my head behind my left ear.  Kind of makes me feel woozy.  I have been having lots of dental work since the beginning of April.  One tooth in particular needs to be extracted, the dentist filled it to protect it.  When she was going through the procedure they applied some terribly bitter horrible tasting liquid to control bleeding.  I, by accident swallowed a huge amount of whatever it was.  Since that time my teeth feel like they are floating on that side, back of head is more tingling than usual.  Now, I do have anxiety and take prescription meds, I do suffer from sinus issues, and I do have Menieres disease....  but all of my life having these things I have never felt this crazy sensation behind my ear.  Could TMJ cause this?  I have never been formally diagnosed with that, although the dentist did say I am a grinder at night and suggested a mouth guard.  HELP :-(

Well through process of elimination, I have been monitoring when the tingling is the worst.  Seems to be when I wake up and a few hours afterward.  I see my dentist on the 10th of the month and my doctor on the 12th for an annual check-up. Thinking now it may be the way I grind my teeth at night.  Next experiment is buying a mouth guard.  I appreciate you replying Lydia and will keep you updated ~

If I am reading this correctly, this feeling of a "weird tingling" only began AFTER you'd had the dental work done.

I would strongly urge you to sit down with your dentist and discuss these symptoms with her. Make sure she understands your other issues and all medications you're taking.

If she is unable to diagnose the problem, then it may time to visit your medical doctor.

I know about that terribly bitter and horrible tasting liquid they use to control bleeding. I also have swallowed a goodly amount of it, but never had any problems and my dentist assured me it was totally harmless. But as we say here many, many times, we all react differently to medications. It MAY be possible that you had or are having, a bad reaction to this drug, but again, your dentist is the best one to assess this issue.

I also have severe sinus problems and some allergies and I think I have experienced a kind of tingling in the general area you're describing. Mine didn't last long enough or bother me enough to become concerned and I never spoke to my doctor (EENT) about it.

I would be very interested to know what your dentist and/or doctor has to say.
I hope you'll let me know.
I don't think it's anything serious but it's always best to get it checked out.
Peace
