As a former migraine sufferer, I have to agree with Nursegirl, this doesn't sound like migraines.  Migraines generally start with a vision disturbance, then nausea, then after about a half hour the terrible headache comes.  And it's a doozy of a headache.  You're not describing this.  What you're describing sound more like sinus headaches or tension headaches.  Any allergies affect you this time of year?

I agree with the above posters.  Migraines are a specific KIND of headache.  Have you actually been diagnosed with migraines, or are you just assuming that's what they are?  They don't sound like typical migraines, the way you describe them.

I think you should continue exploring possibilities with your doctor, and in the meantime, avoid things like alcohol, because that will trigger headaches, especially migraines if that's what you're having, and will also exacerbate anxiety as well.

If the doctor does end up feeling these are migraines, then you're going to need to explore some things, like what your possible triggers could be, and you'll have to learn different ways of managing them.  Most migraine management involves early detection, so a person can treat the migraine at it's early/more mild stages, as they become much more difficult to treat when they become severe.

Continue working with your doctor, and if anxiety is an issue for you (it seems to be in the mix in some respect for you), then you would benefit from continuing to address it with a professional.

Take care, let us know how you're doing.

Migraines are a vascular problem, a constriction followed by an opening of the blood vessels in the head area while the vessels in the external areas such as the hands are still constricted.  This often happens, oddly, when one relaxes after a period of stress.  You can learn techniques to balance this out, such as meditation and using biofeedback to even out your blood flow.  Have you explored this? (I'm assuming these are in fact migraines; many people claim to have a migraine when what they have is a different type of severe headache, and the treatments are different).  It also happens often when certain foods are eaten, or when you go without food, such as skipping breakfast when you're prone to migraines.  Just some thoughts.

I'm sorry you're going through this.

I'm not a medical professional, and I'm not personally familiar with anxiety causing migraines.  However, I do know anxiety can cause headaches, so if someone were prone to migraines, I could see those dots connecting.

The eye issue does sound like a typical migraine symptom.  Have you see your regular doctor for a full check up?  Anxiety can manifest in a lot of different physical symptoms.  It can also make it easier for us to focus on each little twinge & get sucked in to worrying it's something wrong or bad.  So hard sometimes!

What are you doing to manage your anxiety?  Do you feel anxious?  Is it more just the migraines?
