Headache on Right Side of Head--Please Help!

by VicZag, Nov 25, 2008 04:54PM
Hey everyone.  For the past 6 weeks or so I've been getting a terrible headache on the right side of my head.  It reaches from the top of my right eye all the way to the back of my head, below my right ear.  This headache usually occurs at the same time each day (late afternoon-early evening).  I went to the student health center today (I am a college student) to get it checked out by the doctor.  After looking in my ears, nose, eyes and throat, and performing some simple neurological tests, he told me that I did not have any type of infection and that my neurological tests were perfect.  I have been a little stuffed up and congested, so he told me that it may be from that and to look out for any changes in the "character" of my headache.

I have been suffering from anxiety since this past summer, but have never had this headache before.  My anxiety is not unusually out of control right now, so I do not think this headache is directly related to my anxiety.  But, as most of you have experienced, this headache has me worried sick.  I feel like there must be something terribly wrong, like a brain tumor.

To wrap this up, I was wondering if anyone has experienced or know someone who has experienced the kind of headache I described above.  Any feedback/advice would be appreciated!!

I often feel the "physical symptoms" when Im not feeling the "anxiety"
it comes and gos, I think its from our nerves being so amped up, and were already so self conscious on every little symptom that we get, that we often emphasize and exaggerate our symptoms subconsciously. Not to mention when we are in panic mode, it really takes alot from our bodies to do this, and cause additional stress, weakness, tension, and a whole range of symptoms when it finally dies down.
I wouldn't suggest looking up your symptoms, or jumping to conclusions because that will make it worse.
Heres a link to what alot of peoples symptoms are from this website "http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/290375"; if you havent seen it, you should look at it. It will make you feel better, Guarantee:)
