i have anxiety and im scared my heart rate is st slow when im resting
I will have to agree with both of the previous responses. Your HR is normal. Deep breathing is good and distracting yourself by doing something like coloring. I know it sounds childish, but it may help. I have anxiety and I know what you are going through. Good luck and take care!
Your normal resting heart rate is fine. Since you are aware that your anxiety is the reason your heart rate increases, the idea of going onto a med to slow it down is not justified if it only jumps to around 100bpm.
As jul suggested, breathing exercises will decrease your heart rate as will distracting yourself from focusing on it. Take a couple of good, deep breaths and then get your mind busy doing something. Taking the Ativan may help to calm you down generally, but if your focus is still on your heart rate, it will more than likely remain a bit high.
And remember that the normal heart rate is between 60-100 beats per minute, so even at 100, you're still within the norm.

I am currently really struggling with my anxiety and I am really considering going on antidepressants. Try doing some deep breathing exercises they might help you relax alittle. Sorry you are suffering. Anxiety stinks!!!
