Help! Is this crazy?

Okay so for the past week or so my anxiety has been crazy I'm so scared to sleep I feel lime I am dying! I stay awake all night worrying! Should I seek medical help! I believe in prayer and have had faith I will be better but all this has me on the edge does anyone else get like this? :(

This is a very common feeling with anxiety. It puts you in a state of high alarm and on top of that it also makes you feel something really bad is going to happen. Not sleeping or eating is not good for you and can make the anxiety become worse. If I were you I would go to the doctor to let them know what is going on and see what they suggest you do, Also going to see a psychologists might be helpful that way you can try to figure out what is going on in your life to make you feel this way. You really must seek help.  Sleep deprivation makes everything worse.  If you can just get some sleep you may feel like a different person!

I'm doing the same thing, I have not slept for the last 5 nights, due to some health concerns.  I start to fall asleep and immediately wake up a few minutes later in a major panic attack, which makes me not want to fall back asleep.  The xanax is doing nothing to help, I started lexapro 4 nights ago so I hope it helps.  I'm off to see my Dr. in the morning to discuss my health.  Good luck to know, I know how horrible this is :(  Michelle
