Hi Kristen
Looks like I can relate to your problem. I was just like you. I thought it was just a mere anxiety. But no, it turns out that it is really the disorder of the inner ear that causes one to have dizzy spells/anxiety/headaches/balancing prob/tinnitus. Those are just some of the classic symtons. What I need you to do now, is to go to this website menieres-help.Over there, please read and see if you're suffering from all the symtons related. I am feeling much better now, thanks to a recomendation that was given by me from the other menieres sufferers. It is a little pricey but it an all natural supplements, and of course it of high quality vitamins. I have not once tried any prescriptions by the doc, I am too afraid to be dependent on them as those (meds) sometimes brings more harm than good. Side effects brings in more symtons, trust me I was in your shoes and it is so so frustrating. Docs said there was no cure for this, little could be done. And please also drink lots of water, and stay away from cafeine,MSG and salt laden food. Please email me if you need to speak abt this, otherwise please go to Menieres-help web.Lots of good people there.Look for Denise Griffin or Karin henderson. My mail Henny_F***@****
Sounds like an inner ear problem to me. The inner ear deals directly with your ability to balance. A sinus infection/ear infection can cause your dizzy spells. It's also a possibility that dehydration is the culprit.
I just went through 2 months of varying dizzy spells. I got tons of tests on me, and everything came back fine. They think mine was anxiety based. How that's possible, I have no idea...because the dizziness has been gone for a few days now, and I'm getting back to my old self.
I know that after a month, you really start to get anxious because you have no idea what is causing your symptoms. This last stint was the longest I'd ever been sick and it freaked me out.Just trust in the fact that with time it will get better, make sure you stay hydrated, and if that pain in your ear comes back, get your GP to check it out for you. A simple round of antibiotics could be a relatively quick cure...
I'm also on Zoloft and when i started taking it the same thing kinda started to happen to me, I would get headaches for days and dizziness sometimes a faint feeling, but i would never faint no matter how much i felt like i was going too . I'm sure it's mostly anxiety I've been on Zoloft for I'd say about 5 months now , and if I'm having a bad day or lots of stress i get dizzy and feel like I'm going to just fall over and faint. Do you ever feel detached? Like your not awake? Because anxiety can do that too and that also can make you feel dizzy, I think when you feel like that you should just sit down try to take some deep breaths and try to calm yourself down , or talk to yourself and know nothing is going to happen! Anxiety can cause racing or pounding heard, chest tightness or pain, dizziness, faintness, feeling light headed , numbness or tingling sensations ! It also could just as well be the Zoloft making you feel tired and dizzy! If it doesn't work soon i would maybe try something else anyways hope this is helpful <3
