I don't know...he's a neurologist but board certified in neuro/psychiatry and he was originally treating me for occipital neuralgia, and later for panic attacks, anxiety, and now depression. I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy....mentally disturbed or something. I have other issues as well but feel that maybe I should find a psychiatrist and leave him alone. Neurologists are typically not excited about treating someone for psych issues, they wanna treat stroke patients or headaches etc.
You should always clarify things with your doctor and never feel like you are bothering them. They would rather you ask and be sure, than to get it wrong. The doctor works for you, never hesitate to call him! You always need to work closely with him regarding your medication(s) so don't worry about "bothering" him. Take care.
Because I feel like I'm bothering him already, emailing and asking him questions like that. He's such a nice guy....but I think you're right about the meds.
I won't mix them all together but introduce each one after 1 week.
Thanks!!
It sounds like you have more then 1 new meds to start. I'd take what he said to mean that you should start 1 new med then wait 1 week and then start the next new med. This way any side effects can be attributed more easily to the right medication. I don't think he meant stopping any meds.
This is just my opinion on the matter. Why not call and ask?
