Help with general questions about symptoms

I recently got diagnosed with a thyroid problem.  The last 12 weeks my ears have been ringing really bad with tinitus.  No one can figure out what is causing this.  One Dr. suggested anxiety, but my ears are really ringing loud.  Ive had every test and every MRI known to man kind.  All negative....  does anyone have this problem?

Do you take a lot of aspirin?  Taking too much of this particular medication can cause loud ringing in the ears.  Or could some other medication?  Just wondering .....

My mother's tinnitus has improved a lot with lowering her TPO thyroid antibodies (from taking selenium). Taking vitamin E supplements (to maximise selenium absorption) helped with tinnitus as well. Deficiency states are common with hypothyroidism.  Eg: 40% of hypothyroid suffers have a vitamin B12 deficiency (based on one study) and 98% of autoimmune thyroid patients are deficient in vitamin D.

Causes of tinnitus include:

Hearing loss
Excessive noise
Ear infections
Foreign object
Ear wax buildup
Fluid build up
Ototoxic medications (hundreds of prescription drugs including aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and antibiotics)
Meniere's disease
Acoustic neuroma
TMJ dysfunction
Anaemia
A thyroid imbalance
Head injuries or neck injuries
High blood pressure
Allergies
Red wine, cheese and chocolate
Systematic yeast infection (candida)
Dietary deficiencies:
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin B12
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin E
- Choline
- Omega 3 fatty acids
- Magnesium
- Iron
- Potassium
- Sodium
- Zinc
