Hi Anxiety1976,
It sounds to me like you didn't contract it. I am by no means a qualified medical professional in a position to give you a diagnosis, but I know how bothersome the mind is. After a needle stick incident a few years ago I too was anxiously awaiting the regular and of course the final check up to know for sure that I hadn't contracted HIV.
According to the Center for Disease Control ( http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/qa/transmission.htm) "Only specific fluids (blood, semen, vaginal secretions, and breast milk) from an HIV-infected person can transmit HIV. ". I have not heard that HIV can be transmitted by saliva. Combined with your negative results, I would guess that you probably can fairly safely assume that you didn't contract it, unless your groin came in contact with any of the body fluids listed by the CDC. Of course the best person to answer your questions is your doctor and he probably can't tell for sure until you have your final check up. In any case I wish you some inner peace until that day comes.
