I have been taken 1 1/2 tablets of Xanax and it barely does

Does anything for the anxiety does not even make me sleepy. Anyone else have this trouble with Xanax?

Call your doctor he may need to tweak your dosage.

Yes, you don't mention the dosage... that's crucial... plus Xanax really isn't for sleeping as there are more effective meds for that even OTC stuff...
Ativan is wonderful as a presciption for anxiety and I had Restoril for sleep becasue it didn't leave me sleepy or dopey the next day.

I am new here.  Yet, I was on Xanax all it did for me was give me about a sec of relief.
Klonipin (klonopin) is my medication for anxiety, and help me sleep.  At first you might have some side effects as in a little tired feeling.. then after a while it all goes away.

xanax is a very strong med. I just started yesterday and already the anxiety and jitters cme to a halt. Ativan just knocks me out. With xanax I can still seem to function  and it interacts well with my zoloft.

Hi, I was once on Xanax.  I had to get off of it because whenever the meds began to get out of my system??  which was soon?  I ended up getting addicted without knowing it, because I would take too many.  Now?  I am on Klonipin (klonopin).  This medication lasts throughout my day, and yes at first I was drowsy, but now?  At least I can function.
