Thank you all for your kind posts! The funny thing is, the kids (who do at times drive me nuts) are nothing compared to this nasty, deceitful teacher!! But I doubt she will ever bother me again...I think I truly scared her!!!!! GOOD!!
(and to tell you the truth, I kinda scared myself!!!..now I know what temporarily insane means!!) HAHAHA!!
I guess I'm a little late but I'm glad to hear the meeting was not a flop!! I hope the rest of your day goes well and the anxiety goes away. I have substituted and heard more than my share of things, it's rough when the principal is buddy-buddy with someone. Hopefully she's more professional than that and things will stay well.
I'm thinking good thoughts for you too!!!
I ws a teacher for several years so I know what you are feeling. Just apologize for losing your temper and take it from there. We all have those days. Are far as the friendship thing with the principal, hopefully she is still impartial and fair. I am sure that she will be. What grade do you teach? I am like you though, even though I know that things will be ok, id still worry ;)
I teach kindergarten and the principal and teacher are as thick as thieves!!! One lies the other swears by it..
Well, we had the meeting...went well.....they made it all seem that it was miscommunication....I don't believe them, but it settled the differences and all is well now.
I did apologize for my behavior....looking back, I cannot believe that I actually did that!!!! If you knew me, you would know that it was very out of character! I must have been REALLY PISSED OFF!
Well, at least I cleared the air...and hopefully some of my anxiety...this issue has been building up in me for a while
THANK GOODNESS FOR KLONOPIN!!! It got me through the rest of the day!!
Thanks for your concern and well wishes!!!!! I LOVE YOU, GUYS!!!!
Glad everything went well! School politics can be crazy sometimes. I taught special ed at an inner city school so I know how it can be.
Have to run now but will try back later!
Sara
Thanks Raine!
I needed that!!

Wow, what a day! I'm late, but hey, you made it through right? A problem with us anxious people is that we hold things in until we burst like you did today, and then we feel stupid and do it in a way that isn't appropriate to onlookers. Just remember it's okay to be pissed off! Try to take care of it right when the moment happens of pissed offedness (and no, that's not a word:) I try, it's hard:)
one day you are going to laugh about it - I smiled reading it, because this kind of stuff happens in schools. I, too, teach kindergarten, and we have to be very patient, which can be mentally exhausting. Once in a while, we just lose it, and it's okay. The other teacher now knows what she can do, and what she can expect from you. that's a good thing. The air will clear eventually. Enjoy the weekend.
My mom was a kindergarten teacher too and when she retired she was like I don't want to see another 5 year old for a couple years. People don't realize what it is like to be a teacher!!
Just try to remain calm and professional. When you meet with the other teacher and principal, apologize for screaming in front of everybody. And defend yourself. Tell the principal that you were falsely accused and was insulted. The fact that the principal and other teacher are friends is rough. If you feel that they are not being fair to you, call on a third party. Other people must know that these two are best friends and it's not fair to you to be judged and accused by them.
You gotta a big bear hug from me. Hang in there. Stay calm. Take your own advice, BREATHE, BREATHE, BREATHE. Everything will be okay...Everything will work out... I've had days like this too. We've all had them.
