Hi;

   My experience is that it's pretty difficult to switch from a long acting benzo as Klonopin to a shorter acting Ativan.
   Not sure what you mean by ".25" Ativan. Are you still taking 1 mg. tid?
   Wouldn't be surprised if your body isn't still wanting Klonopin.
   Xanax was nasty for me when I tried it briefly several years ago. They tried switching me from long acting Klonopin to Xanax; NOT!

Dear me oh my.

Are you STILL fooling around with your meds?  You just went thru MONTHS of hell to get off the xanax, correct?  If so, I don't know why you would venture down that road again.

The Klonopin should be effective for you IF you take it correctly.  You may need a higher dose, but once you get adjusted, it should work pretty well.

Bottom line here is...you simply cannot manage your meds and condition properly.  Even WITH a recent hospitalization to straighten out your meds, you still aren't quite "getting it".

Do you have a family member, like your husband, who could be in charge of your medications?...giving them to you at the proper times...going with you to the doctor's office for your appts?

This is the only way that I can see that you will be appropriately medicated.  If you are taking BOTH the Klonopin and the Ativan 3 times daily...you are in essence playing with fire.  I highly doubt that your doc recommended that...unless it was a short term course of the Xanax.  Even then, I would be surprised.

What happened to the other med you were on?  Wasn't it Phenobarbitol?  I cannot recall right now...but I know they put you on something new while in the hospital.

PLEASE allow someone to take over your med regimen until you can be properly educated on how these meds work, how they should be dosed, etc.  YOU adjusting your own doses, adding and taking away meds on a whim without first consulting with your doc is a catastrophe waiting to happen.

I don't mean to be harsh...just giving it to you striaght.  It's like NOTHING we say *ever* gets through to you?  I swear....I almost expect someone to say....
