Have you been back to the doctor since going off Paxil and addressed this issue? Have you been to a gynecologist in that year and a half? Just my opionion, the two things might not even be related, and if you are experiencing worse symptoms than before, you might consider speaking to your doctor about this. It's a place to start. Hope that helps.
So you are off the Paxil huh? Is your anxiety back or something? Are you just not taking anything at the moment for it? Because, anxiety itself will effect your sex drive for sure. I'd just go talk to your Dr.. I wouldnt worry about it too much.
My wife, after having our first child, hasnt wanted to have sex for almost an entire YEAR! She does not suffer from anxiety or anything.. the Dr. told her that when you don't use something for a while, it forgets how to work... but he told her to slowly ease back into it and it will work again. Good luck.
Paxil has a short half life as far as ssris are concerned. You may still be experiencing withdrawal symptoms.Do a search on the forum about Paxil withdrawal symptoms.I went on it for a while and my doctor said its good for anxiety and is non addictive!not only was it worse for my condition-it increased my anxiety, but getting off it was a nightmare!Brain zaps, extreme anxiety insomnia etc.speak to your doctor about this possibility.
Take care,
Dimi
