Inderal

I was prescribed Inderal 10mg twice a day for anxiety. From what I have found on the internet this medication is generally used for blood pressure issues. My blood pressure has never been elevated and I'm wondering if anyone has taken this med for anxiety. I'm worried it will lower my blood pressure and cause some sort of complication.

I was prescribed it as well. At the time I had an issue with my thyroid and my anxiety was really peaking. It worked amazing in the beginning. Calmed me right down. I take it now as I have essential tremors in my hands and it works for that as well. My husband was also prescribed it for headaches. The only side effect that both my husband and I had was a lowered pulse. It was usually in the 50's but didnt create any issues at all and eventually it doesnt do that. I have been on them for 2 years now and it doesnt cause any side effects. Plus 10mg is a very low dose so you shouldnt have any problems at all.

I personallydon't think you gave anything to worry about. I take 120mg daily for headache prevention. My blood pressure was never high, and after taking it for months, it has remained the same.

I have been on Inderal for many years for a tremor in my hand.  Inderal is prescribed for short term anxiety like the kind you get before having to speak in public, headaches, and blood pressure.  I have never had any BP problems on it, but my pulse is lower....which is a good thing!  I wouldn't worry, I think you'll be fine, but if really concerned talk to your doctor about it.
