Is it ok to have a glass or two of wine while on remeron?

by Mibbs, Sep 25, 2008 06:42PM
I am taking 7.5mgs of remeron right before bed. I have only been taking this medicine for about 3 weeks. Is it ok to have a glass or two of wine at a wedding this weekend while on this drug? I was taking klonopin on an as needed basis and haven't taken any in 5 days.....and when I took it then it was only half of a .5 mg pill.

I know two friends (both of whom are female) that take Remeron (Mirtazipine) and drink probably way more than they should a few times a week. I actually dated one of them and her dose was much higher than yours. You will be compleletly fine. I used to be an alcoholic, and I think the as needed Klonopin would be a safer alternative!! Just had to add my two cents! Take care.
